How to celebrate Christmas 2017 in Paris?

This year Paris is ideal for winter holidays. So what can we do here in December 2017? Read our tips!

Spend Christmas in Paris: best ideas

Winter holidays are not necessarily the time when you have to pack your bags and get away to celebrate with the family (even if you do it almost every year). Why not come to the French capital and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere, meet new people, practice some French and see the city during the best time of the year, when it’s bright, multicolored, festive and everyone looks happy. So, in order to let you discover Paris, we’ve prepared a few useful tips and ideas for your entertainment.

Activities

If you skate, go to the ice rink of the Christmas Village at Champ de Mars. There you can slide right in front of the Eiffel Tower, enjoy the fascinating view and the Parisian atmosphere in the heart of the city. Stylized cabins and Christmas kiosks will offer local products, original souvenirs, so that you could pamper yourself with nice gifts and find something for loved ones.

The trampolines of the Tour Montparnasse are a perfect idea for an active day out with your family. On the roof of the Tower, at the height of 210 meters, there are trampolines for little ones and adults. There you can have fun and jump while enjoying the panoramic view of the city. The attraction welcomes visitors every day from 2 pm until 6 pm for a price of 9.5 euros (children) or 15 euros (adults).

Shows

This year the Mogador Theater, sometimes called a little “Parisian Broadway”, offers us a marvelous musical, Grease. It’s a joyful, simple and dynamic piece. The French version was created and put on the stage in 2017 by the theatrical troupe, and had a huge success with Parisian public. Some songs are performed in English (that’s why there are special screens with subtitles in the hall). Today it is possible to buy tickets from 65 euros per place.

If you visit Paris with your children, do not miss the chance to make them see the marvellous Christmas play Noël Enchanté at Disneyland. Come here with them to watch the famous Christmas Parade, take some pictures near the huge X-mas tree, meet all the favorite characters and live a whole day in a perfect fairy tale!

Concerts

If you happen to be in Paris on December 19th and 20th, do not miss the Grand Concert, which will take place at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. A symphony orchestra will perform the best Christmas songs, as well as the most beautiful pieces of the classical repertoire. Prices vary from 5 to 95 euros per person.
Do not forget, the holidays are a great opportunity to go out and walk around the city, even if the temptation to stay at home and spend a lazy day is particularly strong! Happy Holidays!
